Penny brings over 20 years of administrative experience in Office Management, Human Resources, and various accounting practices. She assists in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures; manages and overseas the administration team. Aids on HR policies, programs, and practices within the firm; she maintains accounts payables, accounts receivables and client billing. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and grown children, exploring Northern Ontario, biking, boating, and fishing.

Michelle joined our team in January of 2019 as an office administrator. She brings with her over 30 years of providing a high dedication to client service from retail, restaurant, legal, and corporate environments. It is this passion for delivering an extraordinary client experience that drives her. She approaches all aspects of any job with a positive, hard-working mindset, and goes the extra mile to assist our clients. She has over 13 years of experience in the accounting environment overseeing bookkeeping, payroll, remittances and personal and corporate tax files. With DBCPA she oversees many aspects of the office; however, her focus is related to the processes pertaining to the personal and corporate tax files. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys crafts, yoga, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Joe has over 30 years of experience servicing the accounting and tax needs of entrepreneurial clients of all sizes. After graduating from McMaster University Joe joined a big four accounting firm working with a diverse client base. A few years ago Joe joined Darren’s firm to focus on the needs of medium to small entrepreneurial clients. Joe’s focus is on corporate accounting, tax and advisory services. He is originally from Welland and now resides with his wife, Lucia, in St. Catharines. At times you may also find him at their cottage near Parry Sound or working on a community project with the Kiwanis Club of St Catharines where he is a past president. Joe would be happy to meet you and discuss your accounting and tax needs and to hear about your business venture.

Alyce has been specializing in both accounting and corporate taxes for small to medium owner managed business since she began practicing accounting. She has a passion for helping small businesses succeed. Alyce obtained her CPA, CA designation in 2017 and earned a place on the Honour Roll for the September 2016 Common Final Examination. In her free time, Alyce enjoys spending time with her family, being active, and honing her musical abilities.

Alia graduated with a BA in Business Administration – Accounting. Together, with over 15 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, she is guaranteed to provide your establishment with the best business bookkeeping solutions you need to take your business success to the next level. Alia moved to St Catharines 20 years ago, and she has been serving the Niagara region with her bookkeeping and accounting skills since. Her skills and expertise are all diverse and not limited to bookkeeping, payroll processing and government remittances, HST returns, personal and corporate tax returns and much more. Alia is a QuickBooks Online Advanced Certified Pro Advisor and a QuickBooks Desktop Certified Pro- Advisor, she has broad experience working with many other accounting software’s such as Sage 50, Xero, WAVE, FreshBooks among others. She enjoys spending time with her small family, loves to travel and to read.

David is currently enrolled in Brock University’s Bachelor of Accounting Program, in the hopes of one day achieving a CPA designation. He is in his third year of the program and third co-op term. He assists clients with personal and corporate tax compliance and advising clients on accounting and HST matters.

Rushana received Bachelors degree in Economics with distinction and Master of Science in International business with merit. She is on her way to receive her CPA designation and has been working in the accounting field for over 8 years. Rushana has several years of accounting and tax experience across a number of industries including retail, investment, farms, and various other owner-managed private corporations. Rushana resides in Niagara Region, she is a pet lover and enjoys travelling.

Darren had a number of years working in multi-national accounting firms before starting his own business. During that time Darren obtained his Certified General Accountant and Chartered Accountant designation and completed the In-depth Tax Course, a two-year program tax program which is arguably the highest level of tax training available in Canada. Darren is passionate about helping clients understand the accounting and taxes allowing them to focus on what they do best. When not helping clients succeed he enjoys all things outdoors with his wife and two boys.
