    • Bookkeeper

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Client payroll and bookkeeping services including:
      • Reconciliations, monthly financial statements, and other required reports
      • HST, WSIB, EHT filings, payroll remittances
      • Preparation of year-end working paper files, including T4's, T5's and T5018's
    • Preparation of personal tax returns
    • Assisting with accounting projects

    Successful candidate will have:

    • Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or related field
    • 2+ years experience with payroll, full-cycle bookkeeping, and preparation of Canadian personal tax returns
    • Familiarity with CaseWare, Tax Prep, Simply/Sage, and QuickBooks online (an asset)
    • Exceptional communication and client service skills
    • Superior attention to detail & accuracy

    • Senior Accountant

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Reviewing and preparing corporate, trust and partnership tax returns.
    • Reviewing and preparing Notice to Reader financial statements.
    • Assisting and supervising other staff with preparation of personal and corporate tax files.
    • Assisting and supervising bookkeeping duties within the office.
    • Reviewing individual Canadian Tax Returns.
    • Resolving notices and corresponding with the CRA.
    • Meet with clients to discuss year-end financial statements and tax returns.
    • Provide basic tax consultations and advise.
    • Conducting research on tax law and cases as required.

    A successful candidate will have:

    • Sound computer and application abilities.
    • Experience of three years in public practice.
    • Experience using CaseWare, a tax preparation software, Sage 50 and/or QuickBooks, and Windows products.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Junior Tax Technician
    • Preparation of Canadian personal tax returns, minimum of two years experience within the last four years.
    • Business communications – telephone and correspondence, filing, ordering of office supplies, and running of errands.
    • Some payroll and bookkeeping.
    • Must have knowledge of Microsoft and Word. Familiarity with Simply Accounting and CaseWare a bonus.
